because home should be a haven
We are a group of interior designers, industry professionals and individuals who understand the importance of home.
We help mothers and children coming out of homelessness, domestic violence and the foster care system, create a safe and comfortable home by providing furniture and decor to inspire hope and joy.
Motherhood can be the most rewarding job. However, even when financial and emotional support IS provided, this role has many challenges. Now take away that support and add a traumatic life event and expect that mother to pick up the pieces and create a happy home for her family. As they say 'it takes a village'. With our background being in the interior design industry, we understand that our interior environments play a huge role on our mental and emotional well being. This is why we help her home.
We love what we do and so we take the time to do it well. Our process consists of a consultation, floor plans, shopping and an install day. At this time we are 100% volunteer based and so we take on one project at a time, giving each family our full attention.
We work with organizations who cater to our client demographic. We ask the organizations to choose our clients for us by seeking out the women who are most eager, determined and in a position to receive this uplifting service. We then meet with our clients and learn about their everyday life at home, what works and what doesn't and what they need for furniture and storage to help them maintain an organized home. We then take it a step further and ask them about colors and patterns that bring them joy.
Floor plans are crucial in any good design. We take the time to measure every room and create floor plans to suit the needs of our clients. We take child safety, comfort and function into consideration first. We then find pieces that will fit properly and are aesthetically pleasing.
We contact our community for gently used specific items as well as furniture stores for donations. We buy new bright decor and bedding and create personalized DIY pieces if necessary.
This is the fun part when it all comes together. Our volunteers spend the entire day cleaning, organizing, decorating and furnishing our clients home. We like to involve our clients in the cleaning and organizing process to help them come up with their own organization system that works for their lifestyle. We then have them leave and surprise them at the end with a big reveal. You can understand how this is the most rewarding part of all.

Our clients are the essence of why we do what we do. They have taught us that resiliency and strength is the true rainbow after the rain. These women and children are why we exist and so our work does not only impact them, it also impacts us.
HHH has made being home relaxing and peaceful. Knowing that my children have rooms they love to be in makes all of us happy. I have so much more motivation in cleaning knowing it is organized.
